SAFARI SPECIALTY IMPORTERS TESTIMONIAL DETAILS

This expedition had crossed my mind many times over the years. Following much encouragement by my wife I "bit the bullet" so to speak and in July of 2010 made booking for a hunt with ingwe Safaris, arranged travel and sat back amazed at what I had done. As a novice at such ventures I had not the slightest idea of what lay before me, especially the course of events following the hunt. The booking agent stated that he used "brand X" as the agent to oversee the importation of any and all trophies collected in Africa. No further instruction followed and in my ignorance assumed that the outfitter made such arrangements. I'd watch Under Wild Skies" many times; it all seemed so easy. What a wake up call I was to receive! But there was light at the end of the tunnel. I shall endeavor at this time to reduce the diatribe to manageable proportion. While in the Gander Mountain in Kingston, N.Y. I encountered a young women who had been to Africa and highly recommended True Life taxidermy in Middletown, N.Y. It was through True Life Taxidermy that I made the aquaintance of Robert and Rosella Quarterone of Safari Specialty Importers, Inc. from Wallkill, N.Y. and what fortune for me! The importaion of the trophies can be a nightmare as every agency of goverment imaginable is involved in bringing trophies into the U.S. Rosella worked with me every inch of the way in the tedious process, constantly in communication at every phase of the process. I can't thank her enough for her understanding and patience; I couldn't have done it without her assistance. In short I can without reservation recommened SSI, Inc. as an importer should anyone contemplate an African Safari.
A very grateful hunter,
Matt TenEyck
